Maiden America was inspired and designed after the airplanes and military vehicles of World War II, blended with elements of traditional hot rods and respectfully dedicated to those men & women who have served in our nation's armed forces.

The 1952 Ford pick-up Maiden America will feature satin colors in a military scheme, classic pin-up nose art, and a chassis inspired from the designs of World War II airplanes like the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-25 Mitchell, and P-51 Mustang. The one-of-kind chassis will roll on military tires like those found on World War II Jeeps but with a twist: 3”-wide white walls. These specially designed 700-16 military NDCC tires have become a reality thanks to the effort and skills of our friend Bill Chapman at Diamond Back Classics in Conway, SC. Besides the bold and unique chassis, you’ll find many familiar alterations like those found on traditional hot rods, like a 3” chop, 5” section, 6” channel, and a highly modified but basic interior.

Maiden American is scheduled for completion in October 2009. It will debut at Charleston’s Rod Run & Doo Wop and then head south to the Good Guys 16th Southeastern Nationals, Oct. 30 - Nov. 1, 2009, at Lowe's Motor Speedway to be displayed with our friends at Diamond Back Classics.
